About Longtom Farm Guesthouse: Longtom Farm Guesthouse is situated in Mpumalanga,  +- three hours from Johannesburg. Longtom is ideally situated close to popular attractions such as Dullstroom, Sabie, Graskop, Pilgrim's Rest, God's Window and en route to the Kruger National Park. Lydenburg is also centrally located to the mining activities in the area and the Guesthouse is situated only 3km outside of town – offering peace and quiet for the stressed-out guest.

The farm borders on two rivers – the Sterkspruit and the Swartspruit. This presents the opportunity to take a leisurely walk down to where they flow together. These two rivers also attract Fish Eagles and plenty of other birdlife.

History:

The original farm house was built in 1890 and has been converted unit by unit since 1996 into the quiet and picturesque guesthouse it is today. Some of our units were sheds and stalls before being converted into luxurious space. This area is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and start your trip towards the Kruger National Park. Interesting tit-bit: the world famous Lydenburg Heads were found only 1km from our Guesthouse in 1953 by Ludwig von Bezing!

Facilities: The guesthouse consists of ten beautifully decorated and spacious en-suite units, each with free Wi-Fi, DSTV and own kitchenette, as well as two units fully equipped for self-catering. Each unit has its own entrance and patio overlooking the magnificent garden and mountains surrounding the town.

A number of relaxing spaces in and around the spacious garden, including a swimming pool overlooking the Longtom Pass and neighbouring game farm, add to the tranquillity of the guesthouse.

Breakfast is served in the sunny breakfast room, tastefully furnished with select antique pieces, and we can recommend a variety of restaurants for dinner. A spacious romantic honeymoon suite is also available. We also provide covered parking for eight vehicles and two lock-up garages.
